The Santo Tomás de Castilla Industry and Commerce Free Zone (ZOLIC) is a public entity decentralized and semi-autonomous, created in 1973 by Decree 22-73 of the Congress of the Republic of Guatemala.

With more than 50 years of experience, we work to boost competitiveness, facilitate trade and attract strategic investments to the country. Our model allows companies to operate under a modern, efficient and secure regime, designed to promote industrial, logistic and commercial growth in Guatemala. At ZOLIC we connect opportunities, enhance development and accompany companies at every stage of their expansion.

Our purpose as an institution

Boost industrialization, services and trade by attracting domestic and foreign investment, reactivating the economy and reducing unemployment through the promotion of the ZDEEP regime.

Mission

We are an institution with a focus on industrialization, services and commercialization, attracting national and foreign investment for the execution of projects that reactivate the country's national economy, mainly through the promotion and facilitation of the Special Public Economic Development Zones (ZDEEP), resulting in the reduction of the unemployment rate at the national level.

Vision

To become by the year 2032 the logistics platform that contributes to the collection of fiscal taxes, through the import and export activities carried out within ZOLIC, expanding our services through the authorization of Special Public Economic Development Zones -ZDEEP- in any part of the national territory.
